    I still kept my cool and remained civil. I asked them what they would do and they said they would refund what I paid for the return. I told them they should also be responsible for the interest charged, because I wouldn't have paid interest months later if my severance pay was included in on the first place. After a bit of back and forth they agreed.

    Meaning they would ONLY uphold their word IF I was going to bring them more business. Why would I ever do business with them again when they screwed up my taxes in the first place.

    Crazy thing about the entire thing was Rose was in the room with Teresa when we agreed upon the refund and payment for interest. She even had the email. But instead of giving back their customer what they agreed they simply changed colors and said I won't be getting it.

    Finally after I got fed up I simply told them it's less about money not ($100 something) and more about the principle and that if I don't hear back I will be posting about my experience. Heard nothing back.

    Today, sent them an email letting them know I'm taking my experience public and that this is horrible customer service. All I wanted was what the promised me I would get (refund and interest charge reimbursed, which they already agreed to!). Once I sent them that email, I got an email from Rose who told me that Teresa had no authority to promise a refund (even though I forwarded her the email from Teresa) and that it's my fault for wanting them to pay my debt... I was floored.

    "Let’s also discuss that fact that you chose long before now not to conduct business with us any further as you did not come to us for your personal taxes or for the corporate taxes for --- this year. Had you done so, I would have been willing to negotiate pricing to make up for Teresa’s unauthorized promise to refund you for last year. Not to mention the fact that you did not retain us to keep your books and records for either company."

    Later I got an email from Teresa who said that she appreciated my business and they will send out a cheque in the next cheque run and wrote it in an email for me.

    Waited months and nothing came. Sent them numerous emails on the subject and nothing.

    When I asked them about why my severance pay wasn't included on the return they actually had the nerve to tell me that "numbers can go missing in transition" and that perhaps it had something to do with the "heartbleed" vulnerability that was going around on websites. Totally BS response.

    Worst service and customer service experience I have ever experienced! Stay AWAY!

    Worked with them on my personal taxes and they ended up forgetting to include my severance pay! Got stuck with an unexpected tax bill + interest.
